As a director Allan has 20 years experience on either side of the camera, has worked with Paul Greengrass and Lord Attenborough, won an award for directing promos for the BBC. He now works as a digital artist for a Bafta winning show for CBBC. Allan is due to direct his first feature, Vampires vs Leprechauns, a fantasy action adventure later in 2014. The movie, produced by Causeway Pictures, has already secured US ditribution through Inception media. Allan has also taught film making for the best part of a decade at Queens University Belfast and has recently founded Fifty Dollar Film School, an online film school, launching in the late spring of 2014.

Allan's 20 years of professional experience as an actor featuring in such films as Bloody Sunday, Closing The Ring and Good Vibrations, as well ads for Guinness, Harp, Hennessy, BT, Ulster Bank, DETI, Irish Spring Sport and many others means he knows how to direct actors very effectively. Additionally, his extensive, hands on knowledge of greenscreen shooting, tracking, rotoscpoping, grading and composititng means he communicates effectively with heads of department and the post production team. He brings enormous energy, good will and enthusiasm to any creative venture and seeks to bring out the very best in himself and his colleagues.
