About Bruce
Bruce Phillips: Bruce is an actor and improviser in Chicago. He has performed at various venues in Washington, DC and Chicago including the Washington Shakespeare Company, The Annoyance Theater, iO, Second City (Donny's Skybox), and the Greenhouse Theater. He has a BA in Drama and Secondary Education from The Catholic University of America in DC, and completed his student teaching at the Duke Ellington School of the Performing Arts. Past credits include Florizel in Everything Freezes: Another Winter's Tale with Sideshow Theatre Company. He is also performed in and helped create The Boy Scout Musical: Knot Prepared at The Annoyance Theater last year. He is a touring ensemble member of both Imagination Theater and GreatWorks Theatre Company, and works on the staff as marketing manager for Sideshow Theatre Company (www.sideshowtheatre.org). Most recently he performed as Wilbur in the Tony Award-winning musical Hairspray aboard the largest cruise ship in the world - The Oasis of the Seas, with Royal Caribbean International. Bruce is a Jeff Award winner for Artistic Specialization for his work designing the robots in Heddatron at the Steppenwolf Garage Rep in 2011.
