Matt Wiggins is an independent entertainment industry professional with experience in Hollywood and Iowa. He is the founder, president and managing partner of MATT WIGGINS Entertainment and Designs.
Mr. Wiggins is well known for his range and depth as an actor in his portrayal of iconic roles from Shakespeare and Bram Stoker to Charles Dickens, working in major repertory theatre productions. He is an active filmmaker and producer and has multiple starring and co-starring roles in independent feature and short films.
Mr. Wiggins is a champion and ambassador for the Iowa film industry and has developed strong relationships with the Iowa Motion Picture Association, Produce Iowa, and the Iowa Writers Alliance to actively promote and encourage a holistic approach to revitalizing the film industry in Iowa. In addition to his impressive resume in film and theatre, Mr. Wiggins has been featured in multiple television commercials. He is also an accomplished musician and vocalist, releasing his first debut album in 2008 and is preparing to begin live performances in conjunction with his second album, to be released later this year.
Mr. Wiggins is a graduate of Army Officer Basic Training in Fort Knox and attend New Mexico Military Institute and Drake University where he graduated with his A.A. and B.A. in pre-law and political science and took acting courses. Mr. Wiggins has served in multiple internships and staff positions for leading U.S. Senators, Congressmen, and the Iowa State Senate. He is a graduate of Naval Officer Candidate School and proudly served the nation as an U.S. Naval Officer, training as a student naval aviator and later graduating from Naval Justice School. He served as the legal and public relations officer for the world’s largest F-18 Hornet Squadron, VFA-125, based in California. After his honorable discharge from the US Navy, Mr. Wiggins moved to Los Angeles, CA where he continued to pursue his lifelong passion for the arts and is currently residing in West Des Moines, IA.
Mr. Wiggins is a volunteer with the Des Moines Symphony, Wildwood Hills Ranch and is actively involved in the Iowa Shakespeare Experience, IMPA, ISA and other community organizations.
