MATT AARON KRINSKY is a director, producer, and writer who has seamlessly shifted among stage, screen, and live event projects for more than two decades since founding his own independent production company in 2002 – Mogul Productions.
As a filmmaker, Matt completed his feature directorial debut – 'All Saints Day' – in June 2024 and is excited to now be developing a slate of other feature film, TV, documentary, animation, and stage projects.
Previously he produced and directed a number of short films, most notably 'An Eye for an Eye' (2005), starring Academy Award® Nominee and Golden Globe® Winner Sally Kirkland. The film had a successful film festival run and secured an international distribution deal. Additional festival-bound short films include 'Voodoo Love' (2007), 'Demonic Attachment' (2016), 'Playdate' (2019) – which was acquired by the streaming platform IndieFlix – and 'Brothers on a Motel Bed' (2022).
For the stage, Matt has directed and produced several world premiere plays, readings, and workshops, including 'Pagan Century' (2018), the new musical 'Last Lists' (2022), and the Off-Broadway premiere of the one-act play, 'With Love' (2014, Theatre at St. Clement's). He is particularly proud to have worked as a Teaching Artist with the Disney Musicals in Schools program and to be an alumnus of the Lincoln Center Theater Directors Lab West.
Born on the North Shore of Boston and now longtime Los Angeles resident, Matt earned his B.A. in psychology from Brandeis University, and after spending an immersive summer semester at NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts to study filmmaking, began his entertainment career as an assistant to acclaimed producer Lawrence Bender at A Band Apart, the production company he shared with Quentin Tarantino. Matt then went on to train as an actor at the Joanne Baron / D.W. Brown Studio and the Carolyne Barry Acting Academy to further his abilities as a director. Later, he gained tremendous behind-the-scenes insight into the inner workings of the entertainment industry during his tenure as a Corporate Communications Coordinator at The Walt Disney Company.
Aside from telling stories and creating entertainment, Matt loves running; graphic design; drinking too much iced coffee; watching sitcoms, classic movie comedies, and cartoons; playing word games; and hanging out with his niece and three nephews.
