Ava Parnass RN MSN CS is a published songwriter, author and child psychotherapist. She is known as
The Kid Whisperer -Behavior Detective. Her expertise is specifically in the area of improving children’s emotional and physical well-being. To positively impact the rising mental health crisis in children (as proven by the rising statistics) Ms Parnass has co-written a musical animated children's TV pilot.
She has co-authored over 50 songs and 4 books "Listen To Me Please" , "My Feelings are Hungry", "Hungry Feelings not Tummy" and "Where did my Good Mood Go!”
Ms. Parnass has a masters from Columbia University. Prior to her writing career and private practice, she worked at New York Hospital-Cornell in child psychiatry. Ms Parnass has collaborated with some of New York’s most prominent hit-writers, performers and award-winners including Dr. Ron Taffel on "Listen to Me, Please! Time-In, Not Time-Out,". The book introduced new techniques (conversation starters) that encourages parents and children to talk about feelings more openly with each other to improve behavior. Excerpts from the book appeared in Nick Jr. Family Magazine for 3 consecutive months.
