About Marlyn

Writer/producer Marlyn Bandiero was born in Havana, Cuba and raised in New York City. A graduate of Manhattan College with a Bachlor's degree in International Affairs, she received a coveted internship in the United Nations where she researched and edited periodicals for the Department for Disarmament Affairs. Marlyn spent several years traveling between Italy, France and the United States where she absorbed the different cultures and lifestyles.
Her career took an unexpected turn when her husband, Al Bandiero, asked her to write and produce his nationally syndicated radio show heard in 225 markets. It was a career change that would allow her to discover and develop a hidden talent for writing.
After moving to Los Angeles and becoming a freelance writer, Marlyn was commissioned to write scripts including, Blue Betrayal, an inspired by true events cop drama that was nominated for Best Drama and Best Dramatic Scene at the AOF International Film Festival. Lethal Beauty, a story about an International female assassin, as well as developing a TV drama series called Matter of Family. Her talent for writing was recognized in her short script called Modern Love. Picked from over 2000 worldwide submissions, it made the top twelve finalists in a Roman Coppola/W Hotel/Intel Screenplay Competition.
