Meryem is a film producer in Colorado. She likes the versatility of working in a smaller market because it has allowed her to pursue diverse interests in both producing and cinematography. She has shot for NOVA, National Geographic, CNN, the Denver Museum of Nature and Science, the Boulder Peak Triathlon, etc.. She is currently running Blackwing ASL, an arm car company in Colorado, best known for shooting the re-creation of Steve McQueen's Bullitt chase sequence for the Discovery series Fast 'n' Loud.
She has also produced seven feature films, six of which qualified for Colorado film incentives, making her one of her state's most prolific film producers. During the pandemic, she returned to her writers' roots, producing and selling one screenplay which is currently in development and also writing a pilot and show bible for an episodic, a fantasy Western. Her big dream--and the reason for her presence on Stage 32--is to bring this piece of work to her state. Meryem has always aimed high, thinking in terms of building an industry in her state, rather than concerning herself with one-offs. This mindset has allowed her to achieve mastery in many pursuits, rather than focusing on just one thing. Her primary talent is in manifesting the seemingly impossible and knocking down obstacles along the way to making the imaginary real.
