Novice playwright who has just completed my first play entitled, Castles on Quicksand. It is a full-length play, in two acts, about a married couple living in a suburb of Chicago, Il., in the 1950's. Themes of the play include identity, sexuality, secrets, lies, homosexuality and internalized homophobia.
Shortly, I will begin work on my second play, which I categorize as Neo-Mythology. It will focus on the relationship between Persephone and Hades, juxtaposed with a particular Judeo-Christian story.
My background is eclectic with degrees in Art History and Somatic Psychology and work experience within research institutes as well as crisis counseling centers. But my life-long passion has been for writing.
