About Lindsay

As one of ten siblings from a blended family, I was at times the youngest, the oldest, the middle, and the only child. During my “only child” years, I fell in love with film, watching Turner Classic Movies and MGM musicals with my mom. We lived together in the mountains of New Hampshire, deserts of Northern Arizona, and hills of Northwest Connecticut, but at 14 I left for Winston-Salem, NC to study ballet, and eventually drama, at the University of North Carolina School of the Arts. I moved to NY after graduating and consider the city my home.

I am drawn towards characters that could be found in a Lauren Groff novel — articulate, vulnerable, courageous, goofy and “quietly incandescent with rage”. I am currently involved in development for a new collaboration with Martha Clarke and Nilo Cruz starring alongside George De La Peña at The Signature Theater, and my favorite roles to date include Rosalind at The Folger Theater and Molly in Peter and the Starcatcher. I am AEA and SAG Eligible.

As a theatrical director (SDC) and producer I am drawn towards work that integrates multidisciplinary forms of storytelling including movement, music, and visual arts/architecture to tell stories of hope, resilience, and rebellion. One of my favorite projects was a women-led clowning narrative developed in collaboration with Cirque Du Soleil and documented by PBS. I also am drawn towards adapting classical texts which is how I spent my SDCF Observership at Cal Shakes and concluded my artist residency at The Old American Can Factory with Shakespeare’s Twelfth Night. During my residency, I also founded The Lab where I facilitated a writers group dedicated to developing diverse stories and voices and produced weekly readings of original theatrical and screen materials.

As a film director and producer I have predominately created video marketing assets as well as digital performances for companies like Stone and Strand, New York Theatre Workshop, Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival, Colt Coeur, JACK, The Civilians, USO, Empowered Voices, Ethena (compliance), and Limitless Health Institute. This year, I have begun to venture into more narrative projects on both the camera and directing departments.

I am based in Carroll Gardens where I live in a colorful, plant-filled apartment on the top floor of an Italian-Catholic family brownstone, with my muppet-like Minature Irish Doodle, Arlo, and my strawberry blonde rescue meow (who, to put it gently, is on a veterinarian mandated diet), Sophie.
