A Chicago native, screenwriter Susie Kahlich attended college in New York City where she explored and was active in the 1980s Lower East Side art and music scene, participating in the artists’ collective The Rivington School and later the 1990 Williamsburg warehouse events; learning sound directly from CBGB’s legendary soundman Ronnie Ardito; and working boards at CBGB’s, the original Knitting Factory, The Pyramid Club and a few small joints in Brooklyn and New Jersey before turning her attention full time to writing.
Unique traits: As an American screenwriter based in Europe, Susie specializes in working with European and Asian directors, producers and production companies to develop and / or adapt projects into American English to broaden finance and distribution opportunities.
