Nice work, George!
Thank you, Stage 32! I've had 3 script requests this week - Abrams Artists, Bron Studios, and Intrigue. VERY exciting. Your pitch sessions and the feedback from the report cards have been so incredibly helpful. Thank you! Thank you! THANK YOU!!
Congrats!
Well done!
Congrats, George!
AWESOME! Congrats!
Congrats, George.
Received some very exciting news that my comedy script was requested by Deedle-Dee Productions. My fingers are crossed ...making it difficult to type correctly. Apologies for any typos.
Awesome job, George! Keep it up!
...my new favorite word! My script, Birthday Magic, was requested by Ineffable Pictures and Writ Large. Very exciting! I was going to write, 'my fingers are crossed' but the whole 'fingers crossed' thing doesn't seem to be working for me. So, I think I need to think of something else.
Thrilled to report that my script was requested by MGM and Paper Street Films. Thank you Joey and Stage 32!! The feedback and scorecard are REALLY helpful. I've rewritten my pitch quite a few times, based on the feedback and it seems to be working.
Double the congratulations to you!!

Expand commentlol I just read your synopsis and posted a comment. You're totally going to have that movie produced. It's a winner for sure. Aim high when they offer you an option deal. Make it 6 months, and include a step deal wherein you get paid for 2 or 3 re-writes. Or if they don't want to include you as a writer and want to buy the rights outright, ask for a bunch. But I'm a total newbie. Don't take my advice...get a lawyer/agent asap if you don't have one already. I mean, I didn't read the script, but the synopsis is enough...hilarious! I would so pay to see this, with or without my kids.
Congrats, George! That is exciting!!
Great news -- Congratulations George! Keep us updated.
THRILLED to get one of those 'REQUESTED' emails from Stage 32. My script was requested by Mad Riot Entertainment. I've been furiously writing, rewriting, tweaking, unwittingly ruining, then carefully re-tweaking both my pitch and script, so my fingers are crossed! Thanks Joey and Stage 32!!
Got a script request from Zoe Morrison from Sidney Kimmel Entertainment. Very exciting! Hope they like it. Thanks, Joey and Stage 32!!
Awesome!
Exciting news! Just had my screenplay requested by APA. Fingers crossed....
Just received one of those fist pump inducing emails from Stage 32. My script was requested by Gavin Dorman. Hope he laughs at my hard work! (...it's a comedy script).
Fantastic! Congrats
Yay!
Good stuff, way to go!
Good going, George! Congratulations.

Expand postHello. I had a couple questions about the pitch process and thought I'd begin a 'Lounge Discussion' rather than bug Joey again. So, as my subject line suggests, I've had a couple requests for my scripts. ...and now I'm waiting to hear back. Does anyone know how long it may take? I realize that each situation is different, but is there a kinda/sorta ball park estimate of when I might get a response?? I'm guessing that if it's a "no", I probably won't hear a thing, but can anyone out there be a pal and let me know when I should give up hope on a particular pitch? ...after one week of no response? After a month? Also, because these pitches are submitted through Stage 32, I'm assuming that any sort of follow up on our part is discouraged. Am I right? Does anyone know the Stage 32 protocol for following up with a successful pitch/screenplay submission? Thanks!
Thanks, Vanar! I appreciate your feedback. Very helpful.
Good to know. Thanks, Joey!
I received a second request for my script. This time from Schorr Pictures. Fingers still crossed... Thank you, Joey and Stage 32!
Congrats!
Congratulations, George!
After scrolling through a series of 'lost kitten', 'kid needs ride to soccer practice', and 'j crew skinny khaki sales' emails, i was THRILLED to come upon one that read "Requested by UTA!" Thanks, Joey! Very exciting...
I am an American actor living in Ottawa Canada.
Congrats to you! That is BIG news! Best of luck moving forward!
Congrats George!
Congratulations! I loved your post. It put me in mind of the John Lennon quote: "Life is what happens to you while you’re busy making other plans." (Like to be a successful screenwriter or, in my case, actress.) :-)
