Born and raised in Connecticut; spent junior year abroad, teaching ESL to employees of Kemijoki Oy, in Rovaniemi, Finland; left Connecticut after graduation for Los Angeles where I lived for 14 years, then moved with my current husband to St. Paul, MN. where I taught ESL at the University of Minnesota and poetry through an arts organization and privately. When our children flew the nest in 1986, we came to Truchas, NM, a small mountain village an hour north of Santa Fe, where we established an art gallery which continues to this day, 26 years later. We chose Truchas because, as artists, we wanted solitude and silence in which to deepen our work, both in painting and writing.
