Over the span of 30+ years in the film and TV industries, Neil has professionally worked as editor, actor, acting coach, director, writer and producer.
Neil has acted in such notable productions as The A-Team (20th Century Fox) opposite Liam Neeson under the direction of Joe Carnahan, Watchmen (Warner Bros.) under the direction of Zack Snyder, and the Fringe TV series (Fox Network) under the direction of Akiva Goldsman.
Since 2010, Neil has directed over 70 hours of television in Kenya and Canada. The first season of the series “Rush” which he Executive Produced, story edited and directed in it’s entirety, was nominated for Best Television Series Drama at the Africa Magic Viewer’s Choice Awards (AMVCA). Neil directed entire seasons of Higher Learning, Saints, Rush, Twisted, and Monica. He also produced several seasons of these series as well.
Neil has created two series. The first being the high concept series OASIS which was his original idea and then co-created with Loyce Kareri, Kim Todd (Fargo, A Handmaid’s Tale) and Nicholas Hirst. It is currently in development with support from the Canadian Media Fund, the NFVF in South Africa and Blue Ant Media. The second series he created is the first animated African superhero series “Maxus” which he went on to produce, story edit, direct and edit the pilot episode. After pitching Maxus to Turner (Cartoon Network) they have requested a full bible which Neil is about to submit.
Neil continually shares his knowledge and skills to young and new talent in the industry as an acting coach and director/producer mentor for the past 25 years.
