Shawn Parke is co-owner of Cathedral Sounds based in Portland Oregon. He has been composing music for over 20 years. Since his first performance, at age 17, at Kathleen Hanna’s Reko Muse gallery in Olympia WA Shawn has been an active member of the Northwest music community. His work has been featured in several award winning independent films. He is also known for his remix work for artists such as Mirah, Calvin Johnson, and Long Distance Poison. His 2011 remix of LAKE’s "Roger Miller” was awarded NPR song of the day. The independent music press has compared Shawn's diverse offerings to artists ranging from Dan The Automator to Alan Howarth . He is currently focused on music for picture.
