I have worked in the television industry in the UK for almost 40 years. I have been a researcher, writer, producer, director, executive producer and senior manager. I worked for Granada TV and Scottish TV. I have been retired for the last five years but I am still involved in the industry. I am still trying to write "the screenplay!" I have had one Emmy nomination for a script I wrote for an animated series called "Sherlock Holmes in the 22nd Century" which was co produced by DIC and Scottish Television. I also wrote for another animation series called The Hurricanes which again was co produced by DIC and Scottish TV. Phil Harnage, Robin Lyons and Robby London helped - a lot(!) with those scripts.
I have also written many scripts for series which I have produced.
I produced "See That's her" which won a BAFTA in Scotland as the best entertainment programme.
Unique traits: My golf handicap has come down since I retired but can I keep it there?
