Good Morning All, Thank you for allowing me the honor of introducing myself. I began my Writing career as Co-author of "DAVID JANSSEN-MY FUGITIVE" with Ellie Janssen, my friend's first wife. I am certain Members of Stage 32 involved in the Television and Film industry will remember DAVID JANSSEN. In a career that spanned 34 years; he appeared and/or starred in 44 Feature Films, 20 Made-for-Television Movies, and as Star of Four Television Series, starting with "RICHARD DIAMOND-Private Detective" (CBS/NBC. 1957-1960), Best known as "Dr. Richard Kimble" in the ground-breaking, record-setting, award winning Q-M Productions "THE FUGITIVE" (ABC. 1963-1967), "O'HARA-U.S. Treasury" (CBS, 1971) and "HARRY O." (ABC, 1974-1976). Over the years since the puiblication of Ellie Janssen's memoir, many fans and a few close friends of David Janssen urged me to write about our friendship, which lasted from 1965 to his sudden death in February of 1980. I have completed my long journey into the past with my friend and now, "DAVID JANSSEN~Our Conversations, Volume One-The Early Years (1965-1972) and Volume Two-The Final Years (1973-1980) are available in Softcover and E-book Editions. ACTOR LES LANNOM, a close friend and co-star with David in six episodes of "HARRY O." has this to say" "I urge anyone who enjoyed David Janssen's work to buy and read Michael Phelps' biographical journey into David's inner thoughts . . . thoughts that were shared with only a few of his most trusted friends. Through a chance meeting on the Internet, I became aware of Michael's two volume memoir chronicling a friendship that lasted from 1965 to 1980. I ordered the two books, not quite knowing what to expect. Upon reading them I immediately was impressed by his keen memory of David's character and rhythm of his speech. Having known David since our meeting on the set for the pilot of "Harry O." in January of 1972, and having been his friend since 1974, when we filmed the first episode of "Harry O." I can say that reading the memoirs was very like being there and sharing in the conversations. If you remember and liked David Janssen, it's an experience you won't want to miss." - - LES LANNOM, ("Lester Hodges" in "Harry O.") Award winning, Oscar nominated Singer/Songwriter CAROL CONNORS has this to say: "My former lover, David Janssen was the most sensitive, passionate man I knew. Michael Phelps, in his book "DAVID JANSSEN-Our Conversations" shares David's passions and sensitivity with the world." - - CAROL CONNORS. I invite all Members of Stage 32 to visit me at www.MichaelPhelpsNovels.com David Janssen Books to read more about this extraordinary Actor, who was known and beloved as "the hardest working actor in Hollywood!" and "the King of Made-for-Television Movies." DAVID JANSSEN was a dedicated actor, always striving to provide his bery best for his fans. He was an extraordinary, multi-talented man, who really was 'down-to-earth', who wanted to live as an 'ordinary guy' . . . yet his celebrity would not allow that. He is truly missed and shall never be forgotten. Thank you, and wishing you all a great weekend. Mike Phelps
