From 2012 – 2013 Barbara served as Chairman of Marketing on the Board of Directors for the Sherman Oaks Chamber of Commerce and received the prestigious Recognition of Service Award from the City of Los Angeles Councilman, Tom LaBonge and California State Assemblyman, Adrin Nazarian.

Barbara is the recipient of the 2018 First Place Screenplay Award from The International Writers Seminar taught by International Playwright, Author and Writer, Donald Freed, for the screenplay titled, Ms. Millennial, a political thriller.
