Wondering if Anyone Would be Interested in Head Shots?

I'm a professional photographer, and was wondering if anyone on Stage 32 would like Head Shots either to update their portfolio, if they're starting out, or you just want some diversity. Please send me a direct message for further details.

Jeanne Young

LOL! That there was funny...and adorable;)

Marc W. Johnson

Awww..shucks..

John Ohkuma

At some point I'll pay for first rate headshots, but I've been doing my own. I find that it helps to update my headshot and have a variety of photos. I do a new headshot typically when something chang...

Pilot Season 2015

Was just wondering, how much would people suggest an actor from England would need to have behind them to be able to come over to the US for pilot season? Also whats the best way to go about gaining funding or sponsorship? (is there even an official option from companies for this, or is everything s...

I'm afraid getting funding or sponsorship is difficult. Not impossible, but difficult. However, if a U.S. production wants you, they will help with the visa and other necessities for you to work/stay....

Getting judged on your first lead role

So next week a music video is coming out, and im the lead role in it. I'm wondering how im gonna be judged on my first performance was i good? Or did i suck?

Molly Kerr

With practice you will just get thicker and thicker skin. You'll still be able to enjoy the pleasure of acting but you won't be badly affected by the trauma of bad reviews. I'm sure you did beautifully but if you didn't, you still did it and that actually counts for so much. Congratulations.

Matt Jablonski

Thank You Molly Kerr I appreciate it ^_^

Nice post, Molly!

Emotion based acting

With respect to being in the moment and fully embodying emotion, what thoughts do you have on the Stanislavski method?

Mike Milton

The best book I've read on acting is "Acting and How to be Good At It" by Basil Hoffman. His thinking is similar and the book is very down to earth and practical. It is chock full ideas that are clear...

Sometimes I genuinely forget that I'm acting. At some point I'm just doing what my character is doing. The other day I got carried away because my sister was missing and I suspect she was murdered. I don't have a sister, but my character did.

Rebecca Benzell

I think ultimately you work with whatever method works for you. I love Chekhov, for example. Sometimes, imagining I'm a bird or that I've got a stomach full of lava really gets to me in a place that m...

Response to Job Posting

Dear actors/models, I have recently posted my first job posting and I am negatively surprised with the response. From a community as big as the stage32, I was expecting a very good response for these paid positions but the fact is there are only 3 applicants. I know that many of you might have been...

Recently I've been doing television work on Orange is the New Black and Blue Bloods.

I took this shot while in holding to play a police detective on the CBS television series Blue Bloods.

On Tuesday I'm signing up with Central Casting. That should be good for gaining more on set experience and having more to show which is relevant to my goals.

A bit embarrassing, yesterday and today I was at a place called One Source Talent. It was an absolute scam. If you ever hear of or from this place, don't go, don't bring your kids there. They have nothing to do with acting or modeling. They're just cheating people out of their money. And absolutely...

I have a meeting with a casting agent today, and it's the hottest day of the year so far. By the time I get there, I'm going to look like I went swimming in a pool of sweat. Nudity & Sex scenes

This is something common I guess but I am afraid of doing sex scenes and I feel uncomfortable with showing my body naked. Moreover, I would not know how to tell my parents that I did a film with sex scenes. You know, I will always be there baby and pure and innocent... So how do you overcome this fe...

Exactly! No one is forcing the actors to be nude. If there's nudity it's usually listed in the casting call. If you don't want to do nude, don't audition for the role.

Michael Wearing

Instead of asking the question " should I do nudity scenes?" Ask you're self this question "what roles am I unsuitable for and what roles would I be suitable for? Now as you list them out you will see...
