Sherry Davis uses her psychic gifts to help search for a missing 12-year-old girl, Sky Jacobi, who contacts Sherry through dreams and visions, and leads Sherry to find her body, and to eventually stop the killer before he kills again.

SYNOPSIS:

SHERRY DAVIS (34) and her husband, JAY (36), have moved back home to be with Sherry’s ailing mother, MADELINE (64) while she goes through chemotherapy. The story opens with Sherry volunteering to help in the search for the missing girl, SKY JACOBI (12).

Sherry later goes out again on her own to search the creek near her home. She finds the body of a little girl in the creek and calls 911. Later, the police tell Sherry the child she found was a different little girl, it wasn’t Sky. So, the search for Sky continues.

When Madeline’s health begins to falter, Sherry and Jay hire hospice care to help them during her mother’s final days. Madeline dies in an intensely dramatic scene with Sherry at her side.

Meanwhile a shady looking man, STAN GARDNER (38) sits in a park, eating lunch near the playground. A little girl, MIA (10) rides up on her bicycle and starts to swing. Stan takes a candy bar and gives it to Mia; she smiles.

Later, Madeline visits Sherry in her dreams, and Madeline tells Sherry to search for Sky at Lucas Valley State Park. Sherry and Jay search for Sky in the park, and while climbing down a rocky path, Sherry falls, hitting her head on a rock. Sherry has a near death experience where she meets Sky and instantly sees a vision of Sky’s body out in a clearing in the woods. Sherry then gets sucked back down the tunnel into her body and awakens on the rocky path where she “died.”

Intercut throughout are scenes where Gardener has Mia gagged, bound, and tied to a bed in his basement. He climbs into bed and sleeps with her at night while Mia cries.

Sherry is visited by ALICIA RIVERS, (40) the mother of the little girl that Sherry found in the creek. Sherry tells Alicia that she’s seen through dreams, visions, and a near death experience the exact location of Sky’s body in Lucas Valley Park. Later that night, DETECTIVE HOWARD (40s) comes to Sherry’s home to ask her about Sky. Howard tells Sherry that he is an LAPD Psychic Detective who uses paranormal clues to investigate crimes. He also says that Alicia Rivers told him that Sherry has seen visions of where Sky’s body is located. So, Sherry tells Detective Howard everything. He takes Sherry and Jay to the park to search for Sky the next day.

Meanwhile, Stan Gardner puts Mia, gagged and bound, in the trunk of his car and drives her out to Lucas Valley Park, presumably to dump her body. But there’s a police road block at the park entrance so Gardner leaves. Sherry and Jay help Howard find Sky’s body. Sky tells Sherry through dreams and visions that her killer was a gardener and that he strangled her near some roses. Sherry Googles nurseries nearby Sky’s home and goes to the first nursery on the list where she learns that Sky Jacobi bought two rose bushes two weeks ago, from a nursery worker named Stan Gardner.

Excited about her luck in finding this clue, Sherry looks Gardner up on line and finds his home address, one block away from the nursery. She calls Detective Howard to tell him she’s found the killer, but Howard doesn’t answer, so she leaves a message with Gardner’s address.

Sherry goes to Gardner’s home, pretending to be a Mormon Missionary. Gardner invites her inside. Sherry goes inside and sees a little pink backpack and Barbie doll. Gardner notices Sherry’s reaction to seeing the little girl’s toys, so he grows suspicious and whacks her over the head with a baseball bat.

With Sherry now unconscious, Gardner gags her and ties her to his bed. Howard arrives, arrests Gardner and finds Sherry, barely breathing, in the bedroom. Howard calls 911 and saves Sherry’s life. Howard finds Mia locked in the basement and saves her. Gardner confesses to murdering 6 little girls.

In the final scene, Detective Howard joins Jay and Sherry for a backyard cookout where Howard invites Sherry to apply for the police academy as a Psychic Detective in training. Sherry says she’ll think about it, and Jay congratulates her for finding her life’s true purpose and for not giving up on her quest to recover Sky.

Pitch: The script has intensely dramatic scenes, dealing with the death of a parent, and the abduction and murder of young girls, offering the lead actress a chance to showcase a range of emotions.
