Australian native Rachel Barrer is a classically trained Film, Television and Theatre actress; award-winning producer and drama teacher. Rachel began studying acting as a teenager and continued her training with some of the finest drama teachers in Australia, before being accepted into the world-renowned Lee Strasberg Theatre Institute in New York City.
Rachel’s most notable Off-Broadway roles include; Donna Marsala in Tony and Tina’s Wedding and Irene in Left-Overs. Rachel has also played some of the theatres most iconic female characters; Maggie in Cat on a Hot Tin Roof, Kate in Taming of the Shrew, Laura in The Glass Menagerie and May in Fool for Love, among many others.
Onscreen, Rachel has starred in many award winning independent films including; Just Lovers, Till Proven Innocent, Gravedigger, Sarah is Not Her Name, Deep Water and The Atlantic Motel. Rachel also held the recurring role of Jasmine in the web-drama Catch-30, and her T.V credits include, the CBS drama Golden Boy and the Direct TV comedy hit Almost There. Rachel can also been in many commercial campaigns most recently she can be seen as the face of Pendo Systems and in the Capitol One Chip Card Commercial.
Rachel is also a theatre and film producer; she was the co-founder of RannT Productions in New York City, producing original works off-Broadway and Barrer-Rojas Productions, which latest film The Atlantic Motel has garnished multiple awards.
Rachel continues to live and work in NYC, following her passions... and romping with her dog and kids on a regular basis.
