As a Singer/Songwriter Heather Black has captivated audiences with her incredible talent since her first performance at the age of 14.
SPECIAL GUEST APPEARANCES performing with Willie Dixon.Buddy Guy Junior Wells. Jack Lavin [The Powder Blues Band]. Al Walker Willie Macaulder The Hock formerly of The Downchild Blues Band and many more professional artists.
Her mother lost her life to cancer when she was 16 and Heather decided to follow her dreams as a singer in the music biz joining her first band shortly after.
After doing the Northern Ontario circuit Heather moved from Brantford, her hometown, to Toronto were she frequented The Hotel Issabela jam sessions in search of her direction.
After awhile she decided to go to the states before settling in Vancouver B.C. were she performed in various venues as a vocalist with several versions of the same band that toured B.C. and Alberta.
Then she attended Trebas in Vancouver were she did well at concert promotions and went on to perform as a Janis Joplin Tribute Artist in a project called "Ball&Chain"which frequented sold out performances at "The Commodore Ballroom" back in the early 90s. as well as opening for Dr.Hook and Micheal Clarks version of The Byrds.<br /> Radio airplay include CFOXs Stormin Normins Sunday Blues and Bruce Allens show in the early 90 airplay on CHRX and Coop Radio Vancouve as well as radio interviews on CFOX and COOP radio Vancouver.
After a House fire and substance abuse issues Heather took time off to deal with lifes misshaps and is open for projects on a professional level currently residing in Toronto.
I am a survivor and very creative.I believe that there are reasons we go through life's mishaps . They build character and give us the experience to overcome them.
I am currently at home working on originals and started acting classes through TalentINC
