About Chris

CLAi are Chris Layhe, the freelance DP, editor and colorist, plus a small group of like minded film and video professionals known as the Associates. Together and individually we create and produce film, documentary, broadcast television, advertising, marketing and music video projects for all sorts of clients in the San Francisco Bay area, nationally and internationally. Chris is a RED 6k digital cinema shoot and post-production expert, with a selection of 4k and 6k camera systems based around Sony and RED - although he shoots with whatever is right for the job - and a we have a comprehensive 4k and 6k editing and color grading capability grown out of 28 years of film and video experience in London and the US. We are a small but very well established and highly creative production company with big ideas and the skills and experience to take them from concept to screen on our client's behalf... and Chris is one of the most original editors and colorists in the Bay area. But more than that, he likes to do interesting work and have fun for every minute of it!
