About Williams
Williams started from the age of Ten; acting, singing and writing, as an only child for 8 years he had the freedom of mind to be very imaginative, mischievous and creative, he was always in either a drama group, singing group or dancing group. Being able to also sketch & draw, he applied as an office assistant with a print press and his love for the creative world was ignited. In 1999 he went into the modelling industry.
His career kicked off in 2004 as a script writer, stage actor and producer for mini production houses based in Lagos, Nigeria. These outfits were involved in producing soap operas and Nollywood movies. Upon discovering his keen eye for details and visual representation, he delved into making music videos, wedding videos and corporate videos.
Years later in 2009, with a burning desire and a passion for quality video production and a God-given talent in the arts, Williams got back into school to hone his craft and studied creative and new Media from the School of Media and Communication (SMC) of the Pan-Atlantic University Lagos, Nigeria, here he discovered journalism and fell in love with the method of inquiry (unbiased, fair coverage) and literary style used in social and cultural representation found in the discipline.
He was a facilitator on Media Mentoring Initiative [2011/2012] for Debb & Isaac media limited to train undergraduates and final year students of Lagos state university of Mass communication Department - www.debb& and is currently a facilitator on Film Faculty Africa - http://www.filmfacultyafrica.org/facilitators/.
Williams has over ten years of entertainment and broadcasting experience in TV/Film production, post-production and concept development. His skill set horned over the years enables him to create the most dynamic commercially appealing audiovisual products available today by exploring the latest advances in digital hardware and software to produce a wide spectrum of educative and enlighten content.
He is on the verge of setting up T.E.B.A; “The Entertainment Business Academy” which is the grassroots and developmental project from the stables of Zoya.
He’s also working with fellow industry experts in the area of Post-production (non-linear editing and motion graphics) to create ‘TAVFE – The Association of Video & Film Editors’ which is a non-profit organization with the goal of bettering the art and science of picture editing in all media within Nigeria.
He is currently the Creative Director of Zoya Entertainment which he founded in 2004.
