Debra L. Atkins

Debra first got started writing and producing plays in 1989, and at that time she performed different skits and plays at different churches around the Houston, Texas area. Debra have written and produced hundreds of original skits, sketches, one-act plays, poems, and full length productions. Many of which are still being performed at different venues, schools, special events, social gathering, and summer projects throughout the Houston, Texas, area and in the surrounding counties, and she was blessed to be able to perform for hundreds of individuals over the years. Her ultimate goals are to write, perform, and produce professional and inspirational stage plays that are based on real-life characters and real-life issues that affect our society morally and socially. In addition, her plays also create opportunities for children, young adults, and adults that help to develop and display their talents in all theatrical aspects. Her plays help to inspire audiences to examine their own personal values, and they also help promote life-changing behavior for the betterment of society. Debra also believes that writing and producing gospel stage plays is her God-given ministry that God has called her to do to be able to help change people lives.
