About Tap

Tap Rudra (he/him) is a New York City actor and filmmaker, originating from the state of Indiana with Ukrainian and Indian parents. Most recently, he performed the role of The Professor in playwright Aaron Posner’s “Life Sucks”, a modern adaptation of Anton Chekhov’s “Uncle Vanya”, directed by Michael Costello, and completed a Theatre and Film degree at Texas State University. After an extensive career in a technology workplace, the draw of his passions led to a life pivot in Tap’s 30s, back into theatre and film.
Tap has directed in theatre and contributed to film projects via directing, camera work, editing, and sound. He also dabbles in several musical instruments.

Tap worked on projects as a member of the theatre co-ed honors fraternity Alpha Psi Omega, the COSMO Theatre Troupe, and the Texas State Film Club.
