I have been performing on the stage and on screen since I was only 4 years old. At age 5, I was cast on the children's program, "Romper Room." When I aged out, I was involved in tap dance and singing competitions. Age 10 was my musical debut as "Pepper" the orphan in the musical, Annie. After that, I was hooked for good. I decided to make a career in the entertainment industry when I was only 12 years old.
I'm in my early 40's now, and have only taken breaks from performing 4 times, each about 3 months long. 3 breaks from the stage to give birth and care for the babies and one break in 2009 after having my spine fused.
I earn most all of my income as a comedian (improvisational and stand up). I'm also a traveling actress/comic with the Mystery Cafe Traveling Troupe in Boston on a regular basis.
This past June, I was cast in a feature film Romantic Comedy called "Boxed in With You." I portray an Irish Nurse, Olga, and am the "comic relief" for the movie. The Trailer is at .
This business is full of all sorts of different personalities. There are people who blend into the background and prefer it that way, there are those who hog the spotlight and act like they know more than any of their fellow cast members, and then there are folks like me. In improv comedy, working as a team is the best way to gain the best laughs. I love working with actors as a team player, the limelight isn't bad, but I don't hog it. I'm no wallflower though. Just in the middle.
My skills are many, however, I am best at performing with a dialect, or accent. Southern united states, in various locations or Irish/Scottish. That's about all I can think of at the moment. Preparing for 3 auditions this week, whew!
Unique traits: I have many different "looks" and my friends call me a living cartoon (babies find my face fascinating, LOL). I can impersonate anyone I meet within 5 minutes of talking to them.
