About Sina

Sina Bowyer is a screenwriter and producer and the CEO of Red Rug Productions. She graduated with a Masters in Screenwriting from London University after earlier intensive study with writing coach/producer Hal Croasmun via the Screenwriting Pro-series and Masterclass in Los Angeles. Sina has recently completed writing and producing Crude, a short eco-thriller with a cast and crew of more than 50, shot in London and directed by Charles Joslain. This has had a successful premiere at BAFTA, has won a Best Foreign Featurette at Idyllwild at Idyllwild Film Fest and has been officially selected for twelve other festivals so far, as well as for screening on Shorts TV and Indieflix.

She is also in pre-production on a Wedding Heist, a crime romantic comedy to be shot in New Mexico. Sina and her UK production team have already completed a location trip and recruited some highly respected production personnel there. Financing is now underway for this $3.6m feature.

Other completed scripts include White Royal, an action packed conspiracy thriller set between London and the Middle East; The Love Bus, a zany comedy about an implant to cure infidelity that the inventor and his team promote as they drive across California on a bus; Deadlined, a martial arts thriller; and Nefarious, a noir thriller which is being developed as a Scandinavian co-production.

Sina is also building up producer credits on smaller projects: a short satire on hair vanity "The Heresy of Champna", due to screen on UK's channel 4, and "Through the Mirror Darkly", a fantasy film exploring a man's downward spiral into mental illness, and how how he conquers his demons in a mythical fight for his sanity. Another magical realist drama "Ambrosia, will be Sina's directorial debut in 2016, with some award winning crew already attached.

Unique traits: I can combine the deep, investigative writer's mind with the common sense to shape my ideas into commercial scripts, and I have the drive and organisational skills to produce them as well!
