My journey into the film industry happened purely by accident. One of my first jobs was at a multiplex. Spending most of my “off” time in the dark, humid corners of the projection booth, I became mesmerized by the giant reels, dust ridden light streaks and the soothing hum that brought stories to life.
It was a busy Saturday morning when the projectionist didn’t show up for work and I nervously volunteered to operate the projectors. After all, how difficult could it be? I had watched him operate those machines a million times (okay, a million may be an over-exaggeration). From the moment I threaded the first frame, I knew that being in the movie business was to be my fate. I haven’t looked back.
I thrive on collaborating: two, three, even four minds are always better than one. It's what I love most about film making – teamwork – like-minded individuals coming together to create. I love telling stories. I have found my niche in this world and welcome any adventure that will grow me in this direction.
