About Pierre

Born in Los Angeles, Pierre grew up in Canada, Europe and North Africa. His parents' passion for the arts and cinema in particular introduced him to the classic American films, the post-war Italian movies and the French New Wave. Curious about the process of filmmaking, he bought a Super-8 camera, studied cinematography and made short films. Returning to Montreal, he began to work in local productions, first as a P.A. then as a loader with an eye toward working the ranks up the camera department. A move back to Los Angeles and a facility with computer programming changed that path.

While trying to establish himself in a competitive Hollywood market, Pierre was hired by a friend to write a software application that would track 1,000 travelers to a conference in South Africa that included various side trips.. The success of that effort led to more software consulting jobs in various industries, both in the private and public sectors, and finally to a VP position at a leading bank overseeing multiple teams and working on multi-million dollar projects.in the mortgage loan origination and servicing space.

His continued love for film drove Pierre to write and sell screenplays in his spare time and a non-fiction book published by Random House.
In 2017, he established Northern Star Pictures to produce quality films and series and has several projects in development including the action-sci-fi feature TIES THAT BIND, the historical action-adventure series AMERICAN KING, and THE PHOENICIAN CODE, loosely based on the novel by acclaimed Lebanese author Karim El Koussa, the series was developed with actor Nick Tarabay (SPARTACUS, STARGIRL, THE EXPANSE) who also stars. Pierre and Nick are also developing the female-drive action series LILITH.
