Candice Johannes

Candice graduated from City Varsity at the top of her class in 2006 with a diploma in Film and TV Production Techniques. In her first year she received the award for Best Script Writer in her year. Since graduation she directed a 24 minute documentary for SABC’s From the Edge series called Saamstaan Again. She has written for the second season of Montana and her poetry was published in the Cape Cultural Collective anthology in 2011. Candice was assistant to the producer of Penguin Films, Roberta Durrant, for three years until she became a junior creative producer. She has since functioned as co-ordinator, researcher, director and Second Assistant Director on various Penguin Films’ reality, game show and drama series. Candice is currently operating as a production co-ordinator for Triggerfish Animation Studio.
