Even though I was an early adopter, I didn't take the time to fill everything out and I haven't done an introduce yourself weekend yet. So here it is! I'm a writer and actor. I've been doing both for about 20 years now. Acting in theatre and writing everything from news to op Ed blogs to commercials to promos to press releases to plays and now screenplays. I am currently working on assignment with Allegentsia Productions, adapting the supernatural thriller novel Walkers Vale into a feature film script. I moved to LA just shy of 3 years ago from Florida and have been working some as an actor, mostly ultra low budgets, student films and a lot of background work. I've stopped doing 99% of the background work and just focusing on writing and acting in principle roles. I am also in the midst of creating a bunch of original content, that I will need some actors for (outside of my existing actor friends) and some crew for. Most will be paid jobs, some deferred, but I hate working for free and I hate asking people to do the same. Feel free to hit me up (yes, I just opened the door) ON THIS SITE if you'd be interested, actors (even though I don't have breakdowns yet), crew, etc. Look forward to meeting lots more of you!

Expand postHello, Absolutely delighted to make the acquaintance of so many wonderful and talented people. I tremendously enjoy writing and inventing really cool stuff. I particularly enjoy writing family-friendly, wholesome television programming, comedies and thrillers. Hence; I am currently penning several novels, screenplays and television shows. I pretty much sleep between ideas and for all practical purposes, am a closet idealist and visionary. Moreover, I am on the cusp of procuring a deal and hopefully coupled with a smidgen of prayer; you will see my work on the big screen amongst my other enterprising ventures! Wishing everyone the absolute best in this new year and may it bring an abundance of opportunities, success, prosperity and joy to one & all!

I specialize in character and creature voices as well as "voice of god" announcing...here, listen for yourself: http://www.carlwelden.com I also do copy-editing, voice direction and producing as well as coaching - working closely with filmmakers and studios to bring out the best in each take. My performance career began in 1995 and I am proud to say I can support myself doing what I love. I'm living the dream! I have my own business doing voice, as well as performance art and live sound. A positive attitude and sense of humor both serve me well. I love my clients and am so grateful to be able to be able to meet and work with other creatives through networks like this. Always hoping to meet some animation and video-game casting directors who are looking for a fresh voice (or dozens of voices, for that matter). Although most of my gigs come from all over the English-speaking world via the comfort of my home-studio, I really enjoy getting involved in local productions. I'm based out of Ulster County, nestled in the Catskill Mountains of the Mid-Hudson Valley area, 90 miles north of NYC. Kingston, NY is the nearest city, and Woodstock is the most well-known. If you're local, look me up. If not, shoot me your Skype address and we can talk shop. Look forward to hearing from you...or better yet, voicing for you! -Carl Welden. I love CHRONOGRAM even more now. :-D
Oddly enough, the whole genesis of my performance career began with poetry readings up and down the Hudson Valley some 20 years ago. I launched a one-man show utilizing voices, instruments, masks and movement, in which many of the voices I use today were born.
That's so fascinating, Carl! Your method sounds very appealing!

Expand postHi, My name is Monica and I've been working in and out of the industry for over twenty years. I started out in sales, then worked in Affiliate Relations at CBS in New York. My dream was to move to Los Angeles and work in production, so in 1993 I took the plunge, packed up the car and drove out to LA. While I was there I worked in three films: The Stoned Age (Craft Service), Leprechaun 2 (PA) and Casa Hollywood (Loader). The 1994 Northridge earthquake hit and I made a decision I regretted. I moved back to New Jersey. I miss LA terribly, but in addition to that I struggled finding work in the field. So I've been away from the industry for a while, though still keeping my ear to the ground and keeping up with what's been happening through the years. I did work on a short film in 1995 called Boulevard Cafe as an Assistant Camera Person. The DP was amazed at my skills as a focus puller. A frustrated actress, I had chosen film production because I thought it would be more lucrative, and because I happen to love all aspects of creating a film, from the writing to the directing to the performance, to the post production, etc. Sometimes I can't decide what job suits me best as I love them all. Right now I'm delving into voice over work I have a few demos on my page if you want to take a listen. Thanks for reading. Hope to hear from you. Take care.
Thank you both very much.
Hi Monica all the best too bad you are are not closer to NYC but it's great you are pursuing your dream and wish you the best in warm and sunny LA

This is a network for you, built by you. Like most things in life, the more you participate, the greater the rewards. We ask all new members to pay it forward by inviting 5 fellow creatives to the network and by spreading the word of Stage 32 through other social media sites such as Facebook, LinkedIn, and Twitter. The more creatives, the stronger the network. The stronger the network, the more opportunities.
Thanks for joining the movement and for being a part of this most talented and inspiring community. I very much look forward to your contributions.
