James Riggen

I was born and raised in Vermont, attended college in Boston for two years and ultimately graduated from the beautiful University of Vermont. I then obtained my medical degree from Barry University in Miami, FL. Currently I work in Emergency Medicine in Minneapolis, MN by day, and write, write, write every free chance I have. Since I started formally writing novels and screenplays, I have found that there are few things in life -for me- that are more enjoyable. It's been an incredibly rewarding and fun hobby and I hope to make it a full time job in the near future.

UPTOWN is the title of my first novel, I have also just wrapped up adapting UPTOWN into both a miniseries for TV as well as a feature length screenplay.

I am currently working on several other projects including the sequel to UPTOWN.
