About Tamela

Tamela Ivens is an actress, singer/songwriter/pianist and a heart transplant survivor. She grew up in Dexter, MO and was a professional musician for 10 years in Reno, NV. Since her transplant, she has been pursuing her life-long desire to act. She was quickly cast in several student films and immediately knew that being a part of the storytelling process was something to which she could enthusiastically devote her new-found energy. Tamela lives in Burbank, CA with her husband, Spud, and their shi-poo, Misha.

Film (Short, Drama and Mystery) Actress I was born in Toronto, Canada and would be honored to premiere my short film at TIFF. The short film is about a young journalist struggling for success. Sacrificing both her professional and personal life, the journalist decides to investigate the mysterious 'Miracle Archives.' Thought the film, she tries to crack the miracles claiming they are all false only to discover a miracle of her own at the end of the film. It was extremely hard but we are proud of the fact that we shot 12 locations, casted an amazing group of actors, and edited a short film over 20 minutes long for only $1,500. Again, we would be honored to premiere our short film at TIFF and look forward to hearing from you.
