Yasmeen Haleem

Raised in the Southwest Suburbs of Chicago, Yasmeen Haleem is a senior at Columbia College Chicago. She is a Interdisciplinary Major with a focus in Post Production for Film and Television.

Since the age of fourteen, Yasmeen has always been behind the scenes. She started out creating small slideshows for family events. Now, seven years later, those small slideshows have grown into short films, commercials and webisodes.

Columbia College Chicago has enhanced Yasmeen’s abilities in filmmaking as well as Post Production. She intends to work hard and become known for her creations and hope to become as influential as so many of the talented artists she admires. Yasmeen has the hope to inspire others in joining the ever-growing field of talented filmmakers.

Aside from Editing, Yasmeen has worked on an independent film early on in her career, and as she got into school worked on many student productions. On those productions she has assisted on set bringing her technical knowledge of production and a thriving interest in working behind the scenes of a film production.
Yasmeen has also edited several student films while studying at Columbia College Chicago.

After graduating from Columbia College Chicago in May 2012, Yasmeen plans to work in a Post Production House or Television Station in Chicago.
