About Ruth

I began acting at an early age with my sister during a grade school talent show. Our mother made Raggedy Ann and Andy costumes and we lip synced to a record while doing our own choreography. Since that point I fell in love with all things theatrical. I was in every high school production and even studied acting for a time in college. Even though not a professional actor, I am an accomplished one in many communities with many awards and critical acclaim. Once I began to age, I started to direct and have been told I am an "actor's director" because working to obtain the best possible performance from each person on stage goes far to making a production successful. Now since I am retired from my day jobs, I am focusing on theatre. I now serve on several Boards of Directors of arts support organizations and I am President of a new online tool called Aim for Applause () to connect authors of original works and producing venues. Check it out or ask me questions ... I am here to serve!!
