About Derrick

Derrick received his Masters of Fine Arts from University of California Los Angeles acclaimed Film & TV Screenwriting graduate program. While in the program, he was honored with the prestigious Showcase Award, gaining the attention of Hollywood agents and producers. Recently, Derrick expanded his creative territory, adding film producing and directing to his credits.

Derrick was a recent Screenwriting Fellow of Project Involve, Film Independent's premiere diversity program for filmmakers.

His latest short film project, WASTE PAPER, is currently in post production. His latest screenplay, DEATH OF A HERO, is currently in the sweet land of "rewrites" almost ready to make its way to a Producer / Manager / Agent near you.
