LaPonne co-founded, co-produced, performed, managed the talent and developed business opportunities for a rap group titled (Foundation Entertainment) which consisted of independent artist and producers in San Francisco. The group lasted 3 years and LaPonne ended up relocating in 1994 to Atlanta,Georgia to consult behind the scenes on various celebrity projects with A/R Coordinator Regina Davenport who worked for LaFace Records, Stankonia and Purple Ribbon Entertainment. It afforded him the opportunity to be exposed on the 1994 Rap City TV episode covering the (Outkast Southern Playalistic Cook Out Picnic) which also featured Usher, TLC, Sean Puffy Combs, Notorious B.I.G., Busta Rhymes, Jermaine Dupri, just to name a few.
