When I'm not traveling the world and doing research for my current and future projects, I'm buried in my writing.
I'm currently working on my next novel, LUCI: Rhoades to Recovery, and that's kept me pretty busy. I haven't yet seen anything like it out there, so that's encouraging.
My most recent published novel is LUCI: Rhoades to Hell, which tells the story of a human man who befriends the (female) Devil. No, it's not a romance. The Devil already has a girlfriend. It is a story about preconceptions, loss, grief, friendship, and healing and contains LGBTQIA+ themes.
My first novel, "Siofra", was published in January 2012, and the sequel, "Fiach Fola", in December of 2012. They are vampire novels, but my vampires don't sparkle, aren't looking for romance, and aren't eternally emo teenagers. I wanted vampires who enjoy what they are and can still be the protagonist, and it appears that I'm not the only one who feels that way.
"Siofra", surprisingly, has gone over very well with both women and men, which I find rather surprising, since men don't generally get into vampire fiction that isn't along the lines of stuff like "Dracula 2000" or "Fright Night". It was followed by "Fiach Fola" and "Droch Fola".
I am not at all quiet about my politics, which lean heavily left. I also tend to use profanity as punctuation. Be warned.
I am based in Southern California.
