Marah Amberlyn Strauch is a well-respected commercial and documentary producer, director and editor. She helms a production and postproduction company, Scissor Kick Films located in New York City. Strauch is also directing a feature film about Carl Boenish and the history of BASE jumping entitled Gravity. She recently completed restoration of the entire catalogue of Carl Boenish’s pre-BASE jumping skydive films. . Gravity was selected and participated in Film Independence’s Fast Track program at the Los Angeles Film Festival and also film independence’s Documentary Lab. Strauch graduated from Rhode Island School of Design. After graduating from RISD, Strauch moved to New York City where she studied filmmaking and screenwriting at NYU and The New School. Strauch recently was accepted into and attended Werner Herzog’s Rogue Film School.
