About Irelene

My script, Daybreak, was just selected for D.C.'s Spotlight on Screenwriting catalog that was featured at ScriptDC (Nov 2014). I have a published (2012) YA novel, The Enchanted Cottage of Oceania: An American Fairytale, that I co-authored with my daughter, Pixie Carlisle. I completed a three act play, No Contest, in 2012 that was read by professional actors (who begged me to stage it) - but I've been busy with the book series. I am a native Washingtonian, have a doctorate in political science, have worked on Capitol Hill and the White House, and for Federal agencies. I interned at the National Theater, local TV stations, and wrote ad/PR copy for non-profits. When I'm not writing, I'm reading!
