I have been performing for over 30 years; began writing songs in 1973. In 1978 I began composing instrumental selections with an interest in writing music for films, which I began doing a few years later. I composed the music scores for several video productions - most notably, Together in Faith, which won a 1994 Gabriel Award, and was nominated for a regional Emmy Award. In 1996, I produced a CD of original compositions entitled, "Moon On the Lake". The CD also contains two songs, for which I wrote the lyrics as well. I have been a music minister for over 20 years, and have performed music for hundreds of weddings, funerals, etc. I have also entertained at a number of country clubs, convention centers, & the like, and participated in a benefit concert held outside Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. On October 24th of 2003, I performed at the renowned Sheldon Concert Hall in St. Louis, around the corner from the fabulous Fox Theatre, making my concert debut. I won an Omni Award for one of my "slideshow/music videos", which can be seen on my YouTube channel. I've also received numerous nominations for several of my "orchestrated" compositions, & recently scored an inspiring documentary, which will be airing soon, in 2015. I continue to look for work, scoring film & video productions.
Unique traits: I studied piano at the age of 10, but quit after only 3 months of lessons. Still consumed with the desire to perform, I began learning to play by ear, and then, many years later, studied composition, despite the fact that I am somewhat challenged when it comes to sight-reading a piano score. I've been told that, when I play the piano, something seems to almost take over, which I personally attribute to something spiritual, or mystical in nature, if you will!
