About Mercedes

I am an experienced Video Editor utilizing Adobe CC - Premiere Pro and Media Encoder. I have also experience as a Motion Graphic Designer using After Effects and Photoshop. Website:

Originally from Madrid, Spain with a previous career in Psychology, I have worked on corporate videos, documentaries, music videos with local musicians in the Bay Area, narrative and experimental pieces. Please check my website that I have also created: .

At a previous full time job at Rodan and Fields, a leading skincare company with its own video production studio in-house and video team, I edited a total of 75 videos in 1 year: product launches, product descriptions by dermatologists, instructional videos, consultant’s testimonials, nonprofits programs supported by R+F, sizzle reels for stunning award trips, Annual Convention promotional videos and more. Some of them gained popularity very quickly in the company’s YouTube channel, for example 14K views in 1 week.

Currently, I work for Sephora and ASG@Google on a project basis. I have been employed by agencies such as Repertoire Productions, The Marlowe-Pugnetti Company, OWC (Instructional videos for FasTrak) IGN Entertainment, School of Thought, Slow Clap Productions, and Reebok.

Smoakland, a short that I edited, added special effects and helped with pre-production, was selected for the San Francisco Frozen Film Festival 2018 and screened on July at the Roxie Theater in San Francisco

I have always been a keen observer and explorer of the world around me. I consider myself a natural storyteller, always trying to find the balance between substance and style, spontaneity and commitment, provocation and grace.

Combining technical and organizational knowledge, aesthetic sensibility, and enjoying very much being part of a team, navigating its dynamics with efficiency, humor and warmth, is what, in my experience, makes a great Video Editor.
