SYNOPSIS:

John P. Casey was an award winning rock musician in a 7-year dry spell and just dropped by his Agent. His frustration spurred another in a series of arguments with his wife Molly, who just wants him to get a real job. John has had enough and leaves without telling her where he is going. After arriving in Ireland, John stays at his aging Uncle Jim’s old cottage where he discovers dozens of journals packed away in the attic, all written by Paidin Casey, a distant relative from the 1800’s. As John begins reading, he learns that Paidin was not only a very skilled warrior, but also a very good poet. Paidin is on his way home after a 28-year absence. While returning to his birthplace and family, the lonely Paidin secretly hopes it is to fall in love, but soon learns that his real purpose is to write a special song- one that will bring about healing to so many with wounded or broken hearts. But since Paidin is not a musician, he has no clue how it will come about, but only knows that he is to write it. Our story weaves the past with the present, as Destiny directs a soldier and a musician from two very different generations in two different time periods, to accomplish the same goal- to get their own hearts healed first, then get to work creating a new song.

Hi Michael , I said I will take a look at this synopsis. I like the story but at the same time I feel it needs to be more powerful. My thing is with the Paiden character. He is a warrior with a desire to fall in love. Do you not think that maybe that is a bit mushy. I would imagine something eventful hurting a warrior such as his wife was taken violently by the british, tortured and murdered with his child inside....now that would tear a man's soul apart... Just my thoughts. Otherwise great job.

Hi Marilyn, Not a bad idea about Paidin suffering a great tragedy! Thanks!
