  • Nicaragua: A Dying Generation

    Nicaragua: A Dying Generation (2009)
Film by The Underground (Documentary and Short) Producer / Editor In 2006, Nicaragua banned all forms of abortion including therapeutic abortions, which are operations to save the mother's life, after a furious campaign by the Catholic Church. The new law also established jail sentences of 6 to 30 years for women who terminate their pregnancies and doctors who perform the procedure. As a result, the deaths of women who have had "back alley abortions" have skyrocketed infuriating human and women's rights groups all over the world. • Who You Know

    Who You Know (2006)
Film by Lasrever (Comedy and Short) Director / Editor / DP They say making it in LA is not about talent, it's about who you know. Who You Know takes an intimate and scary-honest look at the L.A. you never see, the L.A. that no one in their right mind would ever fantasize about. Who You Know isn't about getting off the bus from Omaha and being handed a contract role on a soap opera by the biggest producer in town because, "you've got that special something, kid." Not even close. Written by Ernessa T. Carter
