Kelvin is a trouble Black youth, who learns the truth about present conflicts as he gets a second chance after being shot for selling drugs with a job in hospital while going back to school. He overcomes his past troubles, by finishing school and comes back to the community to work in the hospital.

SYNOPSIS:

HOSPITAL SHUFFLE is a character driven feature film. The story takes you from 1992 when a pregnant African-American woman was shot for robbing a cripple man in a wheel chair. The aftermath of her being brain dead; the hospital kept the young woman’s body alive, until the baby girl was born named Faith. Doing that time a man was dying from being shot. He told the doctors to take care on his 1 year old son name Kelvin.

Flash forward the year is 2008, the story centers on Kelvin Taylor. He is trouble African-American youth who’s been shot in the leg for selling drugs. With the help of Dr. Jenkins an African-American male doctor. Kelvin gets a second chance with job in hospital as a transporter, while he’s going back to school. Kelvin gets a reality check, and learns about gang related activities, violence, HIV, and sagging pants. But Kelvin has to deals with present conflict from his past with friends and associates.

Kelvin is introduced to patients in the rehabilitation unit, where there are a lot of young African-American men who are paralyzed from the aftermath of gun violence. Kelvin recognized one of the patients he went school with, who tried to get Kelvin to end his life. There was a shooting in front of the hospital; Kelvin’s friends was shot including Dr. Jenkins. He later tries to take matters in his own hand, by trying to kill the shooter assailant Gemini. But Vincent his co-worker and friend stops Kelvin, by throwing him on the wall in the linen closet. And scolls him about 2 wrongs don’t make it right, and could go to jail. Kelvin overcomes his obstacles by graduating High school. Dr. Clemms who he thought was his enemy, gives him money for his books for college. Flash forward to 2015 Kelvin comes back to his community as a doctor. Kelvin is hired as a doctor; in the same county hospital where his father died, who also treated him after being shot in the leg, and where he worked as a transporter. Kelvin in HR getting his work badge, and he meets Faith. She works in the same hospital as a secretary in Human Resources. Kelvin starts working in ER, and he is hugging his friends and co-worker. Kelvin pager goes off saying, “Level one trauma STAT, 2 GSW vicitms”……….. Dr. Kelvin Taylor is working on one of the victims, and he looks at his colleagues, and tells them we to help this one………
