Peter Macaluso is a Latinx writer/director who specializes in horror and romantic comedy (sometimes at the same time).

His latest dark comedy short, Priding Oneself, won the Grand Jury Prizes for Best Short Film (Comedy) and Best Performer in a Lead Role (Comedy), to go along with the Filmmakers Awards for Outstanding Director (Comedy) and Outstanding Screenplay (Comedy) at Film Invasion L.A. 2023.

His screenplays have won 37 awards across various noteworthy festivals including his rom com, Mischief Night, (Top 20% Nicholl 2020) and comedy, Fowl Ball (Austin Film Fest Finalist 2023).

His latest horror short, As Long As You Both Shall Live, premiered at Screamfest L.A. and attracted the interest of the team at HyneSight Films which led to the optioning of a script he co-wrote.

His short, Lonely People, was selected as a Top 200 Finalist for HBO's Project Greenlight.

He produced a 104-episode comedy webseries, Nepotism, from 2013-2015.
