About Michael

Michael Weinstein is an internationally, acclaimed award winning filmmaker. His first film "Runaway Wallet" won Grand Prize in a citywide contest, aired on Showtime, was featured at the Museum of Television & Radio, and was a story on NBC News.

His other films have won over thirty awards including "White Knuckle" and his latest 'supernatural' Holocaust picture "If The Trees Could Talk." This 2015 Cannes Short Corner Selection premiered globally to acclaimed reviews and was the recipient of twenty-seven awards.

Weinstein has also directed several music videos, promos, and commercial specs. The mini-doc extra feature "Journey Through Darkness" was donated to the Museum of Jewish Heritage and the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum. Currently, Weinstein is the founder and president of Runaway Train Films LLC, a television director for a major news network and People Entertainment Network. He is in development for his first feature film.
