I have adapted my book The Conspiracies of Dreams into a film script. It is an historical account which is 90% true of an Egyptian spy who fell in love with an Israeli actress during the 1956 Sinai-Suez war between Israel and Egypt. He is torn between his loyalty to his country and his love for his sworn enemy. The script also reveals how France bribed Israel to attack Egypt because Nasser had nationalized the Suez Canal which France wanted returned to her and England. In return for starting the war, France gave Israel the atomic bomb. The spy is devastated to learn 23 years after the war that the Israeli woman has born his son. The boy has been raised to avenge the death of those who died in the war for neither this child or the woman knew his biological father was a member of Egyptian Military Intelligence. The script depicts why Christians, Jews, Muslims and pagans consider the land between the Jordan River and the Mediterranean Sea sacred. Above all, the script depicts a poignant, star-crossed love story.
Incidentally, the Israeli woman is my sister in law. No one knows the real name of the spy, nor does he know, to my knowledge, that I have written about his relationship with her.
