About J.R.

I have been in the entertainment business for nearly 40 years. I spent 30 of those years in a bottle of booze. 3 years sober now, I'm seeing things I should have seen in my 20's. I have a long road ahead of me, but I have stories I want to tell. My films will deal with the human spirit. A subject I think we've over looked for long enough. Most people think I'm joking and ignore my passions because they think eventually I'll go back to the booze and forget I ever had an idea for a movie, much less 6 (Yes, I've written 6 screen plays) . Since I gave up the booze, I've written quite a lot including a book of poetry, Things I See and I've started my memoirs. I returned to North Carolina for one reason and I've ignored that reason for the first two years I've been back…Now it's time to ignore everything else and get to my story telling…Time to make my movies…That's why I"m here…And, I'll need all the help and advice I can get. I don't know what I'm doing, but I'll learn quick. Thanks for dropping by….

Unique traits: Telling stories about the human spirit…Some positive, some negative…But always concentrating on the human spirit...
