My short film, The Furies (Proof of Concept) has been selected for Cannes Short Film Festival. This open a few doors (and has, been asked by a producer to helm their 2nd unit in Miami & Key West).

I have a few short scripts that I would love opinions on (hard constructive criticism). I have been writing for a bit, but honestly never shared my work because of the lack of workshops near me. Now, I am starting to see more and more pop up, which is great. I will definitely look into those, in the meantime would anyone be interested in taking a look at scripts or having an online group to bounce feedback?
Hey Shanika, sure send me a script you would like reviewed.
Thank you, Jean-Pierre. I will message you here momentarily.
If you're still looking for someone to read, I'd be up for it.
I can jump in on this as well. I have a screenplay in the works, needs fresh eyeballs... and I used to be a reader in LA for a Paramount producer.. so I can eye ball your work as well.
I'll read it! Did you know you can load it when you put up your logline?

I had my hands full... Now I’m back. Ok, I wasn't completely away from movies in the last 25 years. I tried a ultra-low horror project in 2001 and it failed. Never ultra-low again. Nope, never. I’ve got several screenplays and pitches for the right ears. These are my writing projects, and I own all rights. One is a horror, one dark comedy, and a mythological thriller. The common thread in all my stories are dead bodies. I’m looking to partner with a Producer/Exec Producer to develop one or more of these projects. The first project ready to roll is a mythological thriller set in modern times. This would make a great franchise project. Maybe you're a casting director who wants to start producing? Well. Talk to me! This script was written to attract name actors who want to break away from previous roles and have some fun. I put together a great team and I directed a short based upon this project in 2013, it premiered at the Big Easy Int’l Film festival in New Orleans to a great crowd reception in April of last year. This short stars Elle LaMont (Machete Kills, Dusk ‘till Dawn TV series) and Donny Boaz (NCIS, Dallas) So contact me via PM or add me to your network and let's start talking!
Hello everyone, I am curious as to what others may use for making budgets. I use MMB7 and am very happy with it but have not had the opportunity to try others. What works for you and how timely is it?
I use Movie Magic, but I've worked with line producers that simply use Microsoft Excel. I enjoy that MM does some of the lifting for you as far as tax incentives.
Tony this you tube link gives you an overview of Movie magic http://youtu.be/nen-GojChIc.. it's a great programme.

The trick is starting with a topsheet and having each account group with its own worksheet. You can then build as much detail as needed into each account.
You can't go wrong with MM7.
I've got some free budget templates online you can download. Lots of other production forms too: http://yourresumesucks.biz/freebies.html

Please connect with me here and on all social media and let me know in what ways I may be able to help you. I LOVE meeting new people!!! I was an attorney, a fundraiser and a journalist (book reviewer for the Los Angeles Times, news editor of the Hollywood Reporter, columnist for Backstage)...but don't hold that against me!
Katie: Happy to help you! Let's chat sometime! How do I reach you best?
Jeanne: Happy to answer your questions!
Hi John, I"d love to connect with you regarding several projects I'm developing as a writer. Would love to chat about movies in general!
David: Happy to help you if I can---but I cannot discuss or consider any unsolicited material and can generally only find funds for projects with several A-listers already attached!
Your blog is very informative. Thanks for sharing and keep it up like this.
I'm from Austin and currently in San Diego/Los Angeles with a new project, a mythological thriller set in modern times. I'm looking to connect with Producers who can help me take this and other projects to the next levels. Studio or Indy... Let's connect!
